Brick29 is a charming and fun eatery in the Treasure Valley/Nampa area. Visiting family, I wanted to find the perfect balance of high-quality and celebratory environment experience with a price point that matches. I was thinking Chandlers but didn't necessarily want to go into Boise; my niece Olivia sent me Brick29 as the suggestion spot to hit. The food was fantastic; the service was as impeccable as the food and the owner Sherry was a charming and welcoming host. Hailey was a wonderful hostess; Ryland was a wonderful waiter. All Bistro29 staff were happy and smiling. The place was packed and they were all sweet and cool. We had a host of items and each and everything was delicious. Spicy Garlic Calamari B29 Fries - Have with House Bacon which should be added to everything on Earth Chicken -Apple Salad Wedge Salad W/Bacon Bistro Chicken Duck Special Ravioli Mac & Cheese w/Chicken and Bacon Angus Ribeye steak (the OG version) Deconstructed German Chocolate cake Cheesecake All A++ Portions were excellent. We all got to share appetizers and there were 6 of us. We didn't take photos because we were too famished and enjoying ourselves too much to take photos. The photos online do good justice to the portions and mouth-watering portions. They also had a gift card my sister-in-law and brother received from when they bought their home in Nampa. That was 4 Years ago. Still accepted and not expired. A bonus to know that they offer gift cards and they also have a wonderful gift expiration date (still good 4 years later). Also, they told us you can buy their bacon to go. A wonderful place for a family celebration or a romantic dinner. It is the celebration to add to any special occasion.

Chef/Owner Dustan Bristol is more than just the talk of the town. Visit this restaurant to taste years of his experence and passion for food. You can catch Chef expediting on a busy night making sure our food is expertly prepared and presented. Since opening in 2007, Chef Bristol has carefully evolved this restaurant into an experience. A light and bright open bistro with a full bar to a hidden speakeasy known to those who know. The dining is casual, but perfect for visiting with friends or a special date night. Chef Bristol uses homemade sauces to bring out the uniqueness of each dish. From the Spicy Garlic Calamari (best selling app) to the Dijon Bacon Sprouts (can you find the hidden ingredient in the sauce) to a delicate blueberry compote served on a thick cut pork chop. Everything is masterfully done and an adventure for our tastebuds. Two things I must do on my next visit: Dessert and the Craft Lounge (speakeasy). TIP: Speakeasy has a limited food menu and is a step into a different world. So if you aren't able to score a seat in dining, then don't discount the Craft Lounge for food and drinks.

My first time to Nampa and our friends took us to this hidden gem. Beautiful decorated inside with lots of space and an open kitchen where you can watch the Chef Bristol and his staff create their magic. Tables are spaced well so it didn't feel crowded even though it was an early busy evening. All the food was delicious, but the sprouts app is an excellent choice. Chef's visit is fantastic as he personally gave us a tour of the menu. Our table had everything from a B.L.A.T. Sandwich to a Hagerman Trout and Chicken Fennel Pesto Ravioli dish. Everything is delicious and filling. Sadly, I did not get to the fantastic dessert menu. Thank you Jake for your fast, friendly service.

Everyone told me this was the place to go in town. I figured I'd give it a try. Ended up coming in twice for lunch! Was really good. There's a speak easy in the basement that I really wanted to try but didn't get an opportunity this time For lunch 1 I had the mushroom bisque and tenderloin steak salad. Soup was amazing. Very tasty and when I finished I wished I had more salad came with plenty of dressing and was very tasty. Very large portion and I didn't finish it all. Had the house made blueberry lemonade and it was out of this world good. For lunch 2 I had the blueberry pork chop and it was delicious. Cooked perfectly and was served with mashed potato and Brussels sprouts. Tried the huckleberry lemonade and it was just as good as the other one. Got an order of the loaded fries for an appetizer and they were really good Service was friendly and quick. Helpful and quick with suggestions. Inside is nice. You check in and take an elevator to the top floor. Decent sized bar when you walk in and plenty of booths on the inside. Open kitchen you can see in, my favorite kind of kitchen. Loved it and next time I'm in town I'll be stopping in again!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this one of my fav spots in the valley. My wife had the brick chicken and I had the Mac and cheese. Both were great. She had to polenta instead of the potatoes. We also shared the flat bread app and I had a Cesar salad. Bonus point for bringing the salad out on a chilled plate; an important detail that is often overlooked. Great job. There was a wait so we sat bar side for quick service. Great job. We will be back.

One "advantage" while we await our new house build in a new state is the opportunity to dine out more often. For us, trying unique "one-off" places is high on the list. Brick 29 in Nampa belongs on that list. Have to admit that friends of our actually made the suggestion to us along with attendance at a local stage play following dinner. Brick 29 would have eventually landed on our own list, but this invitation just hastened our visit. Brick 29 is marvelously located on the third floor of an old Masonic Temple. Parking in the lot requires a little luck and patience. While we managed a spot in the lot (hey that rhymes!), additional parking could be otherwise found on several streets within a few long strides of the entrance. The couple we dined with also found a lot spot. We were promptly received inside the entrance. There is a small elevator meant to lift folks up to the third floor. Since we were quite early for our reservation. The receptionist mentioned their "Craft Lounge" on the ground floor as a nice place to enjoy a cocktail while waiting for our table. I would prefer to review the details on the Craft Lounge in a separate review at a later time. What I will say here is that Craft is a fantastic place to prep for our dinner on the third floor. Loved the atmosphere and broad libations offered. Warrants a re-visit and deeper review. We had time for one refreshing drink then were shuttled via elevator to the third floor. Should not be a surprise that I found the look and feel of the dining area at Brick 29 to be as impressive as the Craft Lounge. One glaring difference: where the Craft Lounge had a windowless "speakeasy" vibe, the liberal use of windows in the Brick 29 dining room provided for elevated views of the outdoors. The is a formal bar area (windows in the background), many booths, plenty of tables. Chandeliers grace the ceiling. The open kitchen format (which I love) allows diners to get a real feel for the pace of the staff. Even pre-ordering, we got the impression that this was going to be a really good experience. Prompt beverages were offered as we started pondering the menu. Of the four in our dining group, three of us decided to try the specials for this day. Our traditional menu chooser stuck with a beef dish. Her beau went with the hanger steak special (featuring a chimichurri sauce). Since I did not want to take pictures of either of thier dishes, I will not review either in detail here. Since my wife allowed me to photograph ours, I will put some pertinent notes here. One thing we did order and share as a table were the B29 Fries. This was easily enough of an app for all four of us and quite good. Skin on potatoes, fresh garlic, swiss fondue and scallions, plus the all-important house bacon. What a nice start to our meal. My wife decided on the halibut special. Beurre blanc sauce on the bottom, topped with shrimp risotto, steamed broccolini, a nice halibut filet, topped with compound butter. She loved it! I dived into the shrimp and penne pasta special. Penne with a nice cream sauce, plenty of plump shrimp. Shards of fennel helped to add another little layer of flavor. A truly filling, satisfying dish. The service was very good, the food was excellent, and our entire party felt Brick 29 was due more visits from us.

Have always wanted to check out Brick 29 since I moved to Idaho. It's been on my ID bucket list for a bit, but a very momentous occasion arose and we wanted to splurgebrate! Definitely make reservations (easily done through Yelp). Greeted with a friendly face and a fancy ride to the 3rd floor in the elevator. Promptly seated in this charming place in a comfy booth. Note-try to request a window with a view! There's also a 2-hour table limit that they enforce so make sure your party is prompt...unfortunately half of our party was late due to an accident on 84 so that impacted our table time. Service was top notch (other than the nudges to leave the table). I indulged in the filet, medium and hubby had the flat iron. What a divine glutinous meal. Loved every bite. The meat melted with each bite, the flavors of each aspect of potato, veggie and sauce harmoniously melding. What a wonderful meal. The German "cake" was decadent and indulgent. The pounds gained was worth every calorie. Definitely a splurge though there's quite a range in prices from affordable to "not sure if I want to spend that much", so you can still eat here without being spendy. Confused on attire as some people were in sweats, hoodies and others were in business, fine casual and dressy so I guess it's what you feel like wearing though the place gives a more upscale vibe.
